My cursory efforts to look into possible wallets have totally shifted my Meta ads such that my Facebook and Instagram feeds are now flooded with various suggestions. It does not help that I'm currently in Singapore, so the recommendations are a little screwy and don't include things that I can necessarily get in Manila. I've honestly been clicking on some of the ads as part of my research in the hopes of figuring out which wallet to get. And man, as much as I can quickly come to a purchasing decision for different things, I still blitz through research just to be sure.
The way things stand, I generally know that I want a card-focused wallet versus a traditional bifold. I'm not necessarily committed to sticking to a leather wallet and remain open to alternate styles. I may even consider a sort of pouch-type solution without going as far as a true EDC because I don't really keep a lot of things in my pocket together with my wallet. I've even looked at some travel wallets, but they are definitely entering full pouch territory, which I understand but am not a big fan of.
In other updates, it was a fun little Sunday at home with the family here in Singapore. A lot of my time today was dedicated to feeding little boys too distracted to just eat along with a lot of little games here and there. I've helped with the laundry but also repeatedly checked if the boys needed to use the toilet or read and re-read books on demand.
Fitness trackers need a workout setting for childcare because it can be quite a full-time activity.
But with the weekend ending, I know the rest of this week is going to blitz by before I realize it. This really means I'll only have 4 more full days with the family here as I'll be flying back to Manila by Friday afternoon. Or in nephew-speak, there are just 5 sleeps left until I go.
I always fall into this bittersweet melancholy as I know a trip is coming to an end. And this one felt shorter than others given I only had one weekend here where I usually try to span two by flying in the middle of the week. But as one trip ends, the planning for the next begins, I suppose. Plus the boys have a pretty firm grasp of who I am at this point so even online we have some very fun interactions. And I feel all the better because of those moments.
