02D8E: Thursday Indoors

Thursday - Bangus and Sides

I successfully didn't order out for dinner, although it got a little close for dinner since I was feeling pretty lazy. It does not help that I largely stocked the Sietch with bangus-related products including fish sausages, bangus fillets, and Spanish-style bangus in a jar. They're all made with varying degrees of processing, which makes for lazier meal prep while I'm home alone this week. The most effort I've been putting into things is preparing stuff on the side like to compliment to proteins, which is typically some sort of mix of veggies and possibly eggs. It's like an all-day breakfast when you add an egg to most of your meals.

Not ordering out for any of my meals today means that I haven't left the Sietch again. I'll probably bring out the garbage later, so that's a reason to at least leave our floor. But yeah, just home for now.

I have been watching a lot of crappy shows while Tobie is away. So instead of catching up with the likes of Only Murders in the Building and Agatha All Along, I ended up marathoning all of Ben x Jim (I did not expect to get to the end so soon) and finally watching the Hello, Stranger movie. Both were big studio efforts to try to catch up with the BL-craze but did not hit the same emotional chords as the likes of Gameboys did (at least for me). And they featured more...commercial actors? Is that the term for it? Ultimately, they were actors in their respective stables (these being created by Regal and ABS-CBN respectively) and the stories were rather cringe and all the way problematic at times. The pandemic was truly an interesting time period for many things.

But hey, just gotta get through two more nights without Tobie then the Sietch will be back to normal. He considered trying to get himself rebooked on an earlier flight in order to join tomorrow's O Bar night, but the costs make it a very impractical option. It would have been nice, but we gotta remain reasonable and focus on the weekend ahead.

In the meantime, I have more O Bar videos to process and books to read.
