I managed to leave the Sietch today - twice! The first time was...to get my SaladStop! order downstairs. The other was to run an errand for the family, which came with the bonus of dinner. It was nice to be around other people (in person!) after a two days at home alone. As much as I have a lot of interaction with my peers at work thanks to Gather Town and our many meetings, it's still nice to actually talk to people in the same space.
So at least I left the condo for a bit. It certainly made hitting my step goal for the day a lot easier versus just pacing in the unit.
My 10th generation Paperwhite is still frozen and now I'm just waiting for the batter to drain completely. I'm hoping that once fully drained, it'll come back to its senses and then come back to life with a full charge. Thankfully, the older 6th generation Kindle that I had passed on to Tobie is still alive, so I'm temporarily using that for now. I still hope it comes back to life. Kindles are essential in my life, but I also don't see the need to constantly replace mine with newer models. So if I can get this Paperwhite to work, then I'm going to hang on for as long as I can. If not, well, I guess I'll see what my options are moving forward.
Lastly, since Tobie is still out, I can't resume our usual shows while he's out. And so I'm sticking to weirder shows that I don't typically watch with him like my very slow effort to watch all the Stargate TV shows (I'm still in SG-1), and cringey shows like Ben x Jim, a pandemic-era BL series that had totally slipped my radar...and probably for the better. It's all kinds of awful, but at least it gives me something to leave playing in the background so I'm not in total silence all night.
Just a few more days before regular geeky normalcy.
