02D78: TV Time

Wednesday - Tobie Chicken

We just finished this week's episode of Drag Race Philippines after dinner and it was super hilarious! The franchise's Snatch Game episodes have been a weird mix of high highs and low lows in past seasons and this year's collection of comedic impersonations worked out pretty well. The win was well-deserved and there was a lot to enjoy once we got past the initial table talk drama.

For other show updates, we're approaching the halfway mark for Lovely Runner, which is our active K-Drama at present. A good friend had recommended it since we said we were looking for something light and very rom-com-esque, and this totally delivers on all those notes. It has some surprising angles to it that have us speculating how the story will ultimately unfold. And that makes for a fun experience overall.

We're also juggling a second foreign language show - this being the reality show The Boyfriend, because a gay Terrace House totally works. There's something about how Japanese people awkwardly express how they feel about one another that can be quite endearing. And even with non-straight individuals, the overall Japanese dynamic remains the same...which means a lot of really bad communication and mixed signals. And we all need warm and fuzzy shenanigans in our lives.

Beyond that, we don't have major binge projects active at the moment. We still need to resume watching the likes of For All Mankind and Slow Horses, but there are also other shows that we haven't even been able to start, so the list goes on and on and on.

There's never enough time for everything.
