We had a pretty good start to the week despite the stress of coming from a long weekend. We covered a decent amount of ground, cleared a good set of pending items, and have calendared other items that need to be addressed. And other members of the team are flying in this week to round out our leadership team, so it should be a good time. Last week we had a shorter week because of a Singapore holiday. This week will be even shorter because of our quarterly meeting.
I've also been taking regular walks along the river, which has replaced my daily yoga sessions when back at home. To be fair, Tobie and I would also walk around BGC together, but over here in Singapore I've been making it a daily thing as it's a more effective way of hitting my step goal versus just pacing indoors. I have noted that my Garmin doesn't track as many steps when I do my indoor back and forth. It's better calibrated for actual walking and running and I'm happy to oblige it. And the weather hasn't been too bad for the most part - some nights more humid than others sure, but still generally cooler and I've yet to get caught in a sudden shower. But knock on wood - who knows what might happen.
I'm still sticking mainly to the immediate area beyond a few trips with the family here and there. Admittedly I don't feel a strong desire to get out all that much. Singapore really is another home for me and I'm more than content to just stay nearby. Our routines are structured a lot around the sleeping schedules of the nephews and keeping them entertained during weekends. And that's practically a full-time job in itself.
That's it for now. I have a few more O Bar videos to clear from the Pride event then it's off to bed.
