02D60: Sunday Eating

Sunday - Ninety-Nine Old Trees

Oh man, I still feel so full. I ended this day with another healthy walk around the river but I'm still feeling quite bloated. But it can't be helped - it has been a rather indulgent day.

After that massive 6-player Caverna game online, I had to get up for a family brunch at East Ocean Restaurant, which is a great place for morning dimsum. While the amount of food ordered was just enough for our group, it still meant me indulging in a number of very non-keto things that were totally worth it. Plus the boys really got a kick out of some of the more creative ones shaped like dinosaurs and puppies. We wrapped things up with a quick trip to Books Kinokuniya and the nearby toy store but left with no books and two happy young boys.

The afternoon was pretty chill with a family book club meeting, agreeing on our next book, and just a lot of silliness with the boys. At some point, I slipped into a carb-related food coma - at least until the boys decided that it was time to wake Uncle up.

We had a big dinner planned - something that had been booked before the family brunch had been arranged. We did our best not to eat anything else since East Ocean, but that still left only so much stomach capacity. And the fact that we were going to a Brazilian buffet felt a little bonkers. The good was good and we made sure to try everything last least once, which was already quite an indulgence. We went home very full and I knew that I had to at least get some serious walking in before bed in order to try to make up for some of this.

I promise I'll be more keto for the rest of this week. I don't like feeling this heavy because of food haha
