It was a rather rainy day, so we mostly stayed indoors. That somewhat limited our possible activities and may have made the boys a little stir-crazy. But everyone's a pro and coming up with ways to preoccupy them.
We had arranged for an online board game session because one of our regular players hasn't been able to get out much. This was also in my favor given I'm out of town while all the other players are back home. Combine all this with the rainy weather and the lack of firm plans and I've managed to keep up with the online games for most of the day. Our first session had us play a round of Tapestry followed by Terraforming Mars. Then after a dinner break (which was a walking break for me), we came back for more games including Azul, two rounds of L.L.A.M.A., and then a big game of Caverna to wrap things up - but the game is still in progress as of the time of this blog post.
I was lucky that I was able to walk outside at all given it had been raining on and off all day. It was still rather humid, which made for sweatier walking. But that's just as well - I was definitely in need of exerting more effort given a largely sedentary day. I got to the edge of Clarke Quay before turning back and clocked a good 14k steps before returning to the games.
Tomorrow we're joining the family here for a National Day Weekend brunch. I'm quite excited about it as it will be a break-keto-worthy meal for sure. We have other dinner plans that also promise to be quite hearty, so I still have to figure out when I can make time to get my steps with everything else going on.
At least I got to process some of the videos from O Bar's big Pride event in between all these gaming sessions. I'm still several O Bar nights behind and hopefully I'll bring things current by the time I get back to Manila. We'll get there.
