02D59: Sunday Here and There

Sunday - Hidden Puppy

We're already back in Manila after a lengthy but at least not overly stressful 2+ hour drive back from Tagaytay. Waze sent us into a weird part of Cavite, but I suppose it was the best way to go about things as we didn't have to deal with a lot of traffic here or there.

On the gaming front, our weekend juggled two games. The first was Unmatched Adventures: Tales to Amaze, the cooperative version of the game. We played a round on Friday night and tried to defeat the Mothman again on Saturday since we now have Tobie in the mix. We still didn't win, but it was certainly an interesting game experience overall. The other was Earth by Inside Up Games. Tobie and I had only played this a few times on Board Game Arena, so it was nice to actually get to play the physical copy. We played one round last night and another this morning before we drove back to Manila because it's a really good game with great depth and yet plays a bit smoother than some other games. It feels similar to a lot of the games that we like but it still scratches a unique itch.

We had to blitz back to Manila after lunch to avoid more traffic with the rest of the returning folk and to get home in time for our World of Dew RPG session. It got a little weird with Waze at some points of the trip, but we got home safely and quite speedily. We had a good game and still had time for a good walk around BGC before a very late dinner.

And just like that, the weekend is over and it's only a matter of days until I fly out. Time is really going fly - there's no getting around that. Then I'll be in Singapore again for work and family, as always.
