02D58: Short Tagaytay Weekend

Saturday - Tagaytay Castle House

Was super drained by the end of yesterday, although we still managed to find sufficient reserves to play Unmatched Adventures: Tales to Amaze before bed. It was my first exposure to the Unmatched game system despite being curious about it for a while. This version is unique as it's a cooperative game system versus the rest of the line. We nearly defeated the Mothman but were unable to stop it from destroying all the bridges in time. We've already committed to trying the game again to see if we can win this time.

Tobie arrived this afternoon and will be staying the night before we return to Manila tomorrow. I'm glad that he made it despite other obligations for the weekend. Mom has been super excited about this new house and has been wanting all of us to spend our weekends here whenever possible. It's only now that we've found the time to do so - particularly because I have a work trip coming up.

The other focus of everyone's interest here is the new rottweiler puppy. He's an adorable ball of energy and everyone ends up investing time to play with him or just keep him company. We all know he's going to grow up into a rather large dog with a reputation for being scary. But for now, he's an adorable little thing who is just eager for attention. Tobie and I took him for a walk around the neighborhood and it definitely gave us strong Yoshi feels. I do miss having a dog and maybe that's something we can revisit once we move next year.

Happy weekend, everyone.
