Wowzers, this was a pretty busy Friday for me. On top of everything else, I also had to juggle the not-so-fun discovery that Google Workspace Shared Drives have a 400k item limit that has nothing to do with your storage allocation. So in between meetings and other tasks, I also had to start creating new Shared Drives to shuffle things around so that our main Shared Drive can breathe a bit more.
This also led me down a bit of a rabbit hole in terms of folder management. If you've ever tried to migrate long-standing standard Google Drive folders to their more secure Shared Drive counterparts, then you'll know what a pain it can be. The dynamic nature of file ownership in Google Drive can be both a blessing and a curse.
Tobie was on leave today given his birthday and I was rather envious of him having a lighter day. But hey, it's not like anyone deliberately wants to have a very heavy Friday workday but these things just happen on their own. At least work is done for now and we can focus on the weekend.
It's a good thing that we still had some leftover tinola that I was able to quickly reheat for dinner since I didn't really feel like I had the energy to cook. We have O Bar to look forward to so we can celebrate Tobie's birthday with our O Bar Family in a bit and I'm saving my energy for that.
