Last night we got to go to O Bar on a Thursday night, which is a rather rare thing. It's not as easy as it used to be to do this sort of thing and this time around Tobie and I had filed leave for Friday to avoid working with a hangover. In hindsight, we probably could have forced it as we didn't exactly drink that heavily, but I still welcome the extra day off. The Thursday vibe is very different from the peak nights of Friday and Saturday and it was nice to shake things up a bit. The show was still great and the company was lovely so it was a good night overall. We have quite a number of O Bar events coming up, so this more chill excursion was most welcome.
The bulk of today has been pretty relaxed despite both me and Tobie squeezing in some work despite us being on leave. We had a good Sariwon lunch and then spent the afternoon finally watching Poor Things, which is kinda bonkers in a lovely way. We were supposed to have friends over for board games tonight, but it looks like only one friend will make it, which is a bit of a bummer. We'll still have fun, but as this is a rather special weekend for us, I did want to include more interesting activities as part of the celebrations.
As it stands, we still have watching Dune Part Two on IMAX tomorrow and watching a Repertory Philippines play on Sunday as our main weekend activities. I would have loved to include more gaming, but it does feel like this is really meant to be a weekend for just me and Tobie. And that's certainly not a bad thing, so we'll just lean into it. Plus maybe we'll finally get around to watching Oppenheimer or something given the added free time throughout the weekend.
