02C9C: Monday Social Drain

Monday - CNY Dragon @ The Schoolhouse

Working predominantly on a remote basis is such a gift really as in-person days (or RTO days in Philippines-speak) can take a lot out of you. In-person meetings can take a lot out of you for one reason or another, even more so when you need to travel to the meeting venue - and I say this despite how much more efficient traffic management is in Singapore versus back home. But today was still a pretty good workday, even if my productivity was in other areas than my usual. I still have a lot of stuff that I'll need to catch up on tomorrow, but it is what it is.

Today was busy enough that my only quality time with the nephews was in the morning. It's a shame because of course I want more time to be an Uncle whenever I'm here, but some things can't be helped. At least I got to spend some time with them this morning upon getting out a bed. Actually, there was some interaction time while I was asleep, apparently, because at one point my older nephew used my stomach as a pillow. He's a fun roommate. I should try to get up earlier tomorrow so that we at least make the most of the morning before everyone needs to go this way or that. That's really the best option given how busy this week is going to be.

I feel like I'm going to fall behind on a lot of my other daily things like keeping up with my Marvel Strike Force stuff and even all of my brain training activities. What more my leisure reading outside of all this other stuff, but maybe I'm just low-key panicking a bit to put some pressure on myself. There are still some unusual constraints to consider with respect to trying to stick to most of my routine while being away from home. It's the little things like not being able to work out as much or even not posting as much on social media because there are so many other things to do in the short time that I'm here.

It's not that bad until it is. This is just the crazy in me talking.
