Work today was pretty good. Not too stressful. Not too many meetings. But we got a fair amount done despite Friday feels and all that. We have a few things they we need to think about over the weekend, but that's not too bad.
The family stuff is still lingering in everyone's thoughts, I'm sure, but there's only so much we can do. I'm still reeling from all the nostalgia in my system such that almost anything seems to be triggering memories of this or that. On a similar note, we found ourselves playing Pictures at an Exhibition as background music for a game. This suite is an old favorite that I was introduced to as a child and the vividness of how it had been explained to me is rather burned into my memory.
Thus tonight's distraction is another game night with our regular Friday group. We can't play too long since I have another early morning trek to Quezon City tomorrow and Tobie has a 9am call, but I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun. I don't foresee this to be the sort of weekend where I'll win a lot of games, but that's okay. I just want to play.
