02D03: A Workweek Without the Ends

Tuesday - Pork Chops and Bar Chow

Surprise bit of news - broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez is dead. I can't say that I was particularly following updates on his life, but he's been an institution in the local news segment practically for as long as I can remember. His death is a loss for sure.

I was only away from work for a day but it made for a very busy Tuesday for me. I was stuck in meetings and interviews all afternoon and I only got to seriously work on some pending items at around 05:00pm. It was that kind of day, but I ended the day feeling pretty good about what I had accomplished, so I'll take it. I could have had a bit more vim and vigor diving into today's stuff, but I'm only human and the long weekend hangover was very real, if you get my drift.

It's actually an even shorter week for us since we don't have work of Friday because of the Singapore Elections. I have no idea what I'll do with the extra time - more likely I'll just read some more and otherwise entertain myself while Tobie works. This also means that we won't have a lot of time to get things done, which is going to stress us all out somewhat. Let's see how this workweek plays out.

Lastly, we've gotten more of our gaming friends to join us on Board Game Arena in order to open up the option for mid-week gaming on the fly. It's still a lot faster when it's just me and Tobie playing on our own, but I do appreciate being able to virtually pull in our geek friends for some quick gaming escapes here and there.
