02CCA: Afterglow Monday

Monday Guilt Free Dinner

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1206

Mondays are typically a little rough after the fun of any weekend but a Monday after an overseas trip is even rougher. What has helped carry me through the day are all the social media updates (mainly Instagram Stories) from the team given all the fun they had in Taiwan over the weekend. For a company that has largely been operating on a remote basis across the years of the pandemic, it's still all sorts of amazing to see the strength of the friendships within the company and how much our people enjoy being with one another. If there was a way to make it super easy for the members of our team to instantaneously meet up safely without the hassle of commuting or international travel, I'd totally make it happen. Transporter technology, where are you?

I am living for their content for the rest of this week. It keeps my heart full with every new post again and again and again. I love our team so much.

Beyond that, it's the start of a new month, which is a different kind of busy. I have a lot of catching up to do after a week away and there are still a lot of wheels turning at work as we continue to try to grow the company. I'm still at single-digit steps of a larger solution that may take some 20, 30, or 50 steps left to do and the clocks are ticking. I'm trying not to overwhelm myself, which I sort of feel when I think about the scale of the changes we're trying to achieve. It helps to break things down into steps and just tackle things one at a time.

We've only had food delivered today because we're in dire need of a grocery run. But we prioritized getting a massage tonight instead of going shopping for actual food because we did a LOT of walking while in Taipei. Not the smartest sequence of events, but hey, no regrets.

The workweek has just begun. Welcome to July.
