Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1196
It's the big LGBT Pride weekend, but we're also being a tad wary given we still have a flight to Taiwan on Monday. Any of the Pride-related events are potentially risky in terms COVID-19 and such, but...it's still Pride. And that's always going to be more important in the long run. So to balance things, the most prudent thing we can go is limit all other excursions apart from the one Prides event we're attending.
I super appreciate everyone who is going to March for the first time tomorrow. What a time to be alive given people actually have a choice in terms of which Pride March to attend with many friends even planning to attend both events to one degree or another. It's subtle, but we've definitely made some progress even though there's still a long way to go.
Tonight we're gaming with friends because we won't have in-person board game options overseas. Tomorrow we may do some last errands before the trip, and then O Bar for their annual Pride celebration. Come Sunday it's just a last online RPG session then it'll practically be time to think about the flight given the inefficiency of our airports.
It's not the best plan, but it's a plan. I wonder if we should nap right after the Sunday game so we can wake up to rush to the airport in the wee hours of the morning. That depends on when we pack everything...so we should do that on Saturday before O Bar.
And the slippery slope of pre-trip thinking continues.
