02CAE: Monday Ups and Downs

Monday Yong Tau Foo

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1178

Given our week away at a conference and the Friday holiday, this Monday was just about as busy as I had expected it to be. I had a lot of meetings to get through and a fair amount of catching up, but on the whole, it was still a good day. Productivity just felt a bit through the roof because of course it was. And there's still the rest of the week to worry about.

I got to meet up with a Singapore-based friend today, which is great since we haven't been able to connect during recent trips. We either catch each other here in Singapore or when I'm home in Manila and it makes for a weird game of tag that we're playing across the two countries. We tend to do largely the same thing every time we connect - in Singapore we have dinner and in Manila we'll both probably at O Bar. It's rather funny how all that plays out.

The PLDT issues back at home are quite the bummer as it has made Tobie's work day end on a sour note. It's often said that the only thing worse than no internet is slow internet and I can only imagine how stressful that all is - especially given how it has affected things as critical as Google services. We at least maintained direct communications through Telegram but the hassle of it all just had him going to bed earlier than usual. Hopefully, things will be back to normal come the morning.

Quite the interesting start to the week, to say the least.
