Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1131

We just caught the finale of the latest season of The Mandalorian, and it was okay. Tobie felt it was a bit anticlimactic and I generally agree. There was a lot of build-up for one thing and then in the end we got more of another and that did feel weird. It was still a fun season and I'm more excited for the larger implications of many of the events of the season.

Tomorrow is the final of the final season of Star Trek: Picard, and we can only hope that it'll stick the landing. It's been a bit of a mixed bag but largely a fun nostalgia fest. But that can be a distraction in itself, plus the somewhat lackluster antagonist angle they've gone for, so the season is hard to fully measure until we get to the end. One can always hope for the best though.

We also finally got around to finishing the latest season of Drag Race. The winner wasn't very surprising, but the finale made sure to illustrate why she deserved to win. The show is hardly priority watching though.

The show that has been a surprise delight is Reacher. I had dismissed it because the franchise had already been associated with Tom Cruise. But my sister made me get started on the show during the last trip and I've re-watched those episodes with Tobie and now we're about to finish the first season of the show. And all that I can really think about is...dang I want to get started on the books.
