Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1126

I'm home! The journey back to the Philippines wasn't overly eventful, but it wasn't perfectly smooth either. I made it to the airport with some time to spare despite me waiting to finish the company town hall before leaving. There were things I had hoped to find at the airport that weren't available, but I ended up getting other things out of curiosity.

When I arrived in Singapore, I got to try their automatic immigration gates upon arrival, but there was something weird with my arrival card entry, so I was redirected to a regular counter. That almost happened again today as the Immigration egate at NAIA Terminal 2 stopped working just as I got to the front of the line. I don't understand my "bad luck" with automated immigration systems this trip, but at least I got through in the end. For today, the Immigration officers kindly redirected me to the adjacent gate just to get me processed.

I'm just glad to be home...and home in time for the board game night I had scheduled before our trip. I'm a bit tired from the flight, but it's not too bad. I napped on and off on the plane and managed to get a lot of reading in. And a random bit - I got to watch some videos that YouTube had downloaded for me automatically based on my watching behavior. And...it was a decent mix of my usual comic book and geek TV video content with a few theme park videos to boot. This was the first time I had gotten to use this feature as I'm rarely offline for lengthy periods of time like during a flight.

So board games tonight. Then I've booked movie time for me and Tobie to watch the D&D movie before it disappears (we'll catch up on the summer MMFF next!), and the O Bar later that evening. I'd say hello to more folks, but so many friends appear to be either at Japan or Thailand this weekend.
