02C79: Incomplete Checklist

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1125

There are things that I typically aim to do while I'm in Singapore, but despite the length of this trip, I've sort of skipped a number of them. I feel a little bad about it, but it's not the end of the world either. Plus I'll be back in a month or so given all the stuff going on at work.

Let's go over the usual things.

I did visit Books Kinokuniya, although I didn't buy anything this time around. That's pretty rare - and I had also resisted buying anything at Book Xcess in Malaysia, what is going on, right?

We got to eat at Beauty in the Pot tonight (just in time!) but this trip also included a lot of new food experiences. But we also had staples like ordering out for mala stir fry at least once as a work lunch. Definitely a lot (or perhaps too much?) of good eating during this trip. I am sooo going to have to work a lot of this off when I get back.

I didn't get to visit Games@PI since they close a lot earlier now - something I found out late in this trip. Had I known this earlier, I would have set aside time to visit Orchard way earlier. But I did check out local board games at the gift shop at Great World City and Books Kinokuniya and there were some games over at Book Xcess, so it's not like I didn't try. But I also didn't buy anything this time around.

There are two many friends who are based in Singapore that I try to meet up with and I at least managed to have dinner with one of them.

I'm mostly packed as of this point and I still need to be online for town hall tomorrow morning before I dash off to the airport. Despite not buying anything, my bag is feeling pretty full since I'm bringing back stuff for work and some rather generous gifts from my sister. I hope I'll be able to close my bag in the morning once I try to cram in my toiletries and final bits. The usual travel conundrum.

And that's all she wrote. My next blog post will be written from the comfort of the Sietch once I'm back in Manila tomorrow night.
