Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1117
We just watched Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and we enjoyed it a lot. Between the three of us combined, we only had pretty basic knowledge of D&D lore, but that wasn't a barrier to enjoying the movie. And that says a lot about the experience the filmmakers had put together. It does feel like a good balance of deep lore for fans and a good experience for the average movie-goer. And it's easily the best D&D movie released thus far. And I know the previous movies set a pretty low bar, but still.
On the work front, today was pretty busy. Apart from a lot of end-of-month-related reporting work, I actually had an in-person meeting for lunch. It was something that had been scheduled specifically because I had shared that I would be in town, and it made for a good opportunity to continue to network with one of our vendors (if you want to get rather specific).
Tomorrow is a holiday back in Manila but it's a regular working day over here. And my calendar is looking pretty full indeed, so we'll see how things pan out, I still want to finish up the reports I started today so I can send them out before Good Friday. And yes, Good Friday is a public holiday that both the Philippines and Singapore share, so there's that.
But it's late and I need to get some sleep. Still buzzing over the movie and my only regret is that Tobie hasn't seen the movie yet, so we can't talk about it fully. But we'll settle that soon enough.
