02C69: A Proper Kickoff

Tuesday Satay

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 1109

So now...I'm in Malaysia. As part of this week's big work activity, we've crossed the border to get away from the usual work environment to help put us in a better mindset for the stuff we need to tackle. This is part of the reason I mapped out such a long stay - I wanted to balance time between the countries for different reasons. So we'll see how things go.

I'm very excited for this week's work activity. We have planning this for a while now and it's going to have some rather far-reaching effects that should ultimately prove beneficial for the company as a whole. It's going to mean a lot of work on top of our day-to-day things, but I'm both eager and optimistic about how it'll all turn out. We have some great people in the company and I think we can achieve some pretty great things together.

It's going to be a busy week, so I'm sure we'll need to balance things somehow come the weekend. In our case, it'll probably mean quality time with the kids, which is never a bad thing. It's just a shame that we're going to be quite busy over the new few days, so our interaction time with them will be pretty limited. But I'm going to be here for a few weeks, so we'll figure it out.

Now I shouldn't stay up too late. We have an early start tomorrow and I still want to squeeze in some workout time somehow. It's a little ambitious, but we'll see how things go. As it stands, I actually did some quick body weight exercises upon getting home just to hit all my Fitbit numbers before bed. I haven't been able to workout since I got here, so I'm feeling a little guilty about it.
