02B67: New Monday Cycle

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 863

My leg wasn't feeling fully healed this morning, so it seemed prudent to avoid any sort of serious workouts just yet. I'm still on ibuprofen to help relieve the worst of it but also in the hopes of loosening whatever it is that's making me walk like a peg-leg pirate. Things are better tonight than they were in the morning. I'll just have to wait and see what things will be like in the morning. If anything, I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to do any strenuous leg-related activity just yet. Maybe I can do some strictly upper body work or something.

The computer has been a little sluggish today - particularly for Google sites. I'm not sure what's wrong - maybe it's just our connection. Maybe my laptop is downloading a windows update and that's eating up some of my bandwidth. Whatever it is, it's made my first work day of the week extra annoying. And this is already me getting through the day without the endorphin boost from a morning workout. So this totally wasn't fun at all.

But it was still a productive day and there are many ways that things could have been a heck of a lot worse. so I can't really complain. There's always going to be more work ahead of us, but I'm happy with what we had to deal with today.

Shows for the week:

  • As a hangover from the Singapore trip, Tobie and I are now watching the series The Bear as recommended by a former colleague. It's pretty intense, but we're enjoying the ride so far.
  • We finished Happiness over the weekend, and now our next K-drama exploration is Mr. Queen. the first episode was rather silly but I'm curious to see where it's going to go. This also marks the first thing we're watching on Viu - although I still haven't signed up for a premium account.
  • We've been struggling to find a decent copy of Fire Island to watch just to satisfy our curiosity, but for some reason the movie just defies us. We keep ending up with bum downloads that don't play for one reason or another.
  • The weirdest thing after all the weekend hype out of SDCC is the design to finally sit down and watch all the John Wick movies before this new one comes out.
