Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 840
We met up with an online friend for the first time last night and ran him through the gamut of our board game lives. It was his first full game night and while things started with games like Machi Koro and Splendor, we somehow wrapped things up with the likes of Ark Nova, our current game of interest. You know you've really gotten someone to really experience the joy of modern board games when they ask to immediately play a particular game again because they want another go at it. This happened at least twice last night, so I think that's confirmation that we had a pretty successful introductory game night indeed.
I woke up feeling sore all over. I guess the weights routine I followed yesterday combined with some very awkward attempts to bowl demanded more of my body than I was ready for. I tried to err on the side of prudence and avoided anything too strenuous and stuck to some restorative yoga and tried to keep up with my steps. It was a bit of a struggle to get to the 12k mark today, but I barreled through and managed to do so after today's online RPG session. As much as we had already gotten massages the other night, I could totally use another one.
I'll try to take it easy for the rest of the night. We're watching Slow Horses while doing our own things. I hope to get the rest of my O Bar photos and videos processed (or at least a significant number of them), catch up on the rules of the other Root expansions, and then maybe play a board game or two with Tobie.
I hope you all have a good weekend as well - or at least, one that isn't as achy as mine.
