Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 830

It has been a bit of a challenge to figure out who we're sharing our O Bar table with this weekend. We're set for both Friday night and Saturday, which is the big LGBT pride event. And usually our big challenge is figuring out who to prioritize for the table versus others.

But for one reason or another this year, we seem to be struggling to come up with names. A lot of our friends have other engagements this weekend - mostly out of town ones at that. And now we're struggling to come up with last person for the table, which feels like a bit of a waste. I say this since the reservation amount doesn't change if we don't hit the advertised capacity for the table, so we sort of "lose" when we don't fill up al the slots.

Plus it's Pride weekend, so of course we want to be in the company of our closest and dearest friends. Pride isn't the sort of event night that we can just casually invite newcomers to, especially given the pandemic and all. Even with the higher entrance rate for the night, we're expecting that the bar is going to be pretty full and that can be a LOT for a newbie to handle. So our practice has always been to invite fellow O Bar regulars to join us so we can be in the company of friends as we brave the crowds and all that jazz.

Pride is barely three days away and we still have an open spot at the table. Let's see how this all plays out.
