02B1F: Work Tech Things

Thursday Dinner

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 775

With everything going on at work, what I'm most excited about is us most likely getting onboard with Whatagraph, which is a reporting platform supposedly designed with marketing agencies in mind. We've tried variety of reporting and publishing tools over the years but this one seems like it just might help me with better aggregating all of our advertising data from different platforms and help us build more automated reports to help save us some work. It's still a bit of a gamble, as is the feeling we get with most of these different tools. But hopefully it'll provide some good value that'll help us in the longer term.

Oh work nerdery.

And I could use all the help I can get. There's so much I want to do and figuring out the reporting bit is sort of essential to addressing a number of other things. I'm just glad that I have the support to experiment with things like this in order to help the business in the long term. The technical side of this marketing piece has always been one that has fascinated me and I'm happy to continue exploring it.

Speakinng of - I really need to invest some time into figuring out Google Analytics 4. It has become literally inevitable for everyone who uses GA and I keep kicking this aside in favor of the day-to-day stuff needed to keep things going. But I can't keep ignoring it - it's officially a work imperative since they've announced the retirement of Universal Analytics.

Plus I really like understanding these kinds of things. Maybe I'll force-implement it for my blogs first just to see what kind of data I can come up with while waiting for clients sto catch up.

And this is just part of why I find all this to be so interesting.
