Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 656
Finally finished with work for the week, and thus I'm also done with work for the year 2021 as well - more or less. I may need to squeeze in some tasks tomorrow because of course I do. 2021 has been pretty eventful on the work front, but I'd like to think that it's still largely a great year.
I put in a lot of effort to get most of my Transformers unboxing efforts done this week, but I now know for sure that I'm not going to make it. There are just too many figures left in my queue despite my best efforts and I don't want to overly rush the process since that takes away some of my actual enjoyment from these robots. At the end of the day, this is still about a collecting hobby that I love and I shouldn't turn it into a series of tasks that need to get checked off a list.
And I do have a significant tendency to do this. My blogging on the Geeky Guide reached that level at some point and it took Tobie pointing it out to me (repeatedly) to make me really reconsider how I was handling that blogging effort. So now I only post there when I feel like it and that has given me a lot more headspace to relax and not stress myself out too much.
I'll still try to unbox a few more figures within the next 24 hours, but I'm sure that the holiday-related activities will get in the way sooner or later. So this is me writing about me not hitting this "goal" in order to mentally prepare myself for this eventuality. Funny how that works out, eh?
At least I hit my 365 book reading goal. That's still something.
