Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 643
We had our company Christmas party today, and now it really feels like we're entering the holiday crunch time. I've only purchased one Christmas gift so far and I'm not 100% happy with it just yet. I haven't figured out what other gifts to get and I'm kind of running out of time to buy something. But I've been struggling to come up with gift ideas, and it has been annoying the heck out of me.
I should probably accompany Tobie to the mall on Sunday when he steps out for the grocery run to see if I can pick anything up. Or maybe I'll get inspired when I step out to do errands tomorrow. I just need to find something to get the gift-giving part of my brain something to work with, I guess.
On the health front, I still limited my physical activity to steps today. I'm eager to get back to proper working out, but I also don't want to force my arm before I've fully recovered from the Moderna booster shot. My general mobility is back but I've still been experiencing pain when I fully raise my arm over my head - which is not great even for lower impact activities like yoga. But I'll get back into it soon enough, I'm sure. I should be able to start strong next week.
Beyond that, there's a lot of interesting TV shows to escape to these days. This week's episode of Star Trek: Discovery was solid but not as brilliant as last week's "All Is Possible". The Expanse is still going strong and the bonus mini-episodes only available on the Prime Video app are true gems that just support the love of the fandom, really. And tonight we're finally getting started on The Wheel of Time even though I still haven't gotten started on the books. One thing at a time.
And we're still watching Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
