02A6E: November Continues to Move Forward

Friday Mega Omelet

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 608

This Friday has been a very busy end to a rather busy week. But what else is new, right? Work has been moving at this pace for a while now and the end of the year always gets a little busier because of the regular cycles of our industry. It's a lot of what we would call "good problems to have" as it were, so we keep moving forward.

This weekend we have two different online RPG sessions scheduled, so that should be fun. It's the cycle that involves Night's Black Agents tomorrow, followed by Pendragon on Sunday. We haven't made any changes to our game scheduling thus far, so the game remains online for now. The notion of even considering bringing these games back in person hasn't come up yet and I'm not exactly rushing towards this either. Maybe next year.

The current COVID-19 new case trend seems to be holding at a decent page. It still goes up and down based on testing constraints, thus a few days after every weekend things artificially look better since less testing takes place then. We're not out of the woods yet, but it's still good news, Fingers and toes still crossed.

Lots of new movies have come out this week, at least via creative digital channels. Movie theaters are re-opening but my usual online ticketing platforms have yet to start up again, so we'll see how that goes. I'm not 100% sure if we're ready to take a gamble on the in-person cinema experience just yet, but I'm still excited at the prospect of all this, even just theoretically.

Or maybe we should have just invested in a larger television set to better ride out this pandemic.
