Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 604
My increased workout efforts over the weekend definitely had some lingering effects on my body and I'm glad I focus on yoga on Mondays. A lot of different parts were sore when I woke up and getting out of bed was a bit more of a struggle than I wanted it to be. But I still wanted to work out and get some activity in before starting my workday. And while I've been doing the same yoga routine every Monday, things felt harder to get through today than in prior weeks. But at least I still did something.
I could really use a massage, but those are still tricky to arrange given the pandemic and all that. As much as restrictions are more relaxed, Tobie and I are obviously being very careful about things. But given we used to get regular massages pre-pandemic to going largely cold turkey when the quarantines came down, it was quite a big change. And given how this coincided with me ramping up my workout efforts, not having access to massages during this period has been not fun at all.
Work remains busy but at least my moderate workout fatigue didn't bring me down. Maybe I'll try to go to bed earlier to balance things out better and try to aid my recovery or something. At least I got through the day okay enough.
We've restarted Baduy Pride this week after going on hiatus after the subsequent deaths of friends recently. It took me and Tobie a while to really get back into things as it had been a while but we eventually got back into the groove of things. We still have rather limited viewers and I'm sure our inactivity didn't help our efforts to grow our fanbase. But at least we have friends we can count on for support and they help make the shows fun and all this effort is still worthwhile.
To be safe though, we've only scheduled two live streams this week and then we'll see how things go from there. We've generally been scaling back our efforts in order to keep more time for ourselves as well and not get burned out. It's still fun, but it's also still a lot of time and effort and time is still very precious even while in quarantine.
Here's to hoping that the rest of the week goes well for all of us.
