02A1A: New Record High

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 524

Today the Philippines reported 17,231 new COVID-19 cases, which is the highest-ever number of cases in a day since the start of the pandemic. And if that wasn't shocking enough, the previous record was hit earlier this year and not back when we didn't even have vaccines in the country. WTF, right?

And tomorrow we are easing ever so slightly into a more relaxed MECQ level of lockdown that is almost the same as the previous level except...we can exercise outdoors again, at least in the morning. BIG WHOOP.

We also had another employee officially have her last day today. This is the third resignation this month, which is sad but part of the work life. We're still in the process of hiring replacements, so things are going to be tight in the interim. But we'll make it worth it and use this as an opportunity to bring in new talent, strengthen the company culture. And they were all with us for several years, so that's a good thing. We'll miss them, but we hope they'll continue to grow wherever they go.

Going to focus on better things. Going to enjoy some online drag shows since we can't exactly go out to O Bar anytime soon. To better days and all that as we look forward to when we can freely be with all our friends and family again.
