029D1: Rainy Wednesday

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 452

Right before our Vampire: The Masquerade game, we experienced a significant power outage. For all we knew, we were about to spend the evening in darkness, which would not only ruin our game plans but would be quite stressful. I was just about to toggle the "convenience circuit" to restore some lights while waiting when the power came back. It was a good thing that Tobie had immediately turned off the AC when the power went out, otherwise, it would have experienced that surge of current when the power came back.

It's actually been rather rainy tonight, which is most welcome since it has been enough rain to help cool things down. Don't get me wrong, this is still some pretty humid weather and everything could be made better with the AC. But this is still a more pleasant night than previous ones, so credit where it's due. And given we limit our AC use to the daytime, cooler nights are precious things indeed.

Does this mean the seasons are finally turning? Are we past the brutal summer months and now entering the rainy season? I know PAG-ASA made a declaration last week, but come on. Their track record hasn't been the greatest. But I kid.

I feel like I'm falling behind on my reading, but that just speaks to how busy things are at work this week. But we'll make the most of the time that we have and have fun where we can. Tonight's Vampire game is a good example of fun stuff in the middle of the week. And it certainly makes for a great way to mark us getting past the hump of the workweek. We're closer to the weekend versus where we started on Monday! That's something, right?

Now we append our pandemic greeting of "stay safe" with "and stay dry", I guess.
