0292D: Monday Blues

As much as I could have filed leave for this week, there's just way too much going on to slack off without feeling guilty about everyone else in the team still working. It's part of the pros and cons of running a digital marketing consultancy - the work never stops. And besides, what's three scant working days, right? It's still a shorter workweek, so I can't really complain.

With that in mind, I'm trying not to feel too bitter about friends complaining about all the free time they have. Seriously, if that isn't a sly humblebrag, I don't know what is. Time is a luxury we could always use more of and to claim to have too much free time always sounds wrong to me - or at least very, very irresponsible. But hey, we all deal with our lives differently, I know. And any inappropriate bitter feelings are more likely because I'm projecting onto that person or something. I'll have time to relax more come the regular holidays ahead. 

At least it was a good workday. Got another proposal sent out on time and we have plans for how to tackle the upcoming ones in the pipeline. And given the craziness of 2020, a healthy pipeline is very, very important. It may be a shorter workweek, but I know it's going to be a pretty busy one. But hopefully, it won't be overly crazy. 

Recent Movie Round-up:

• We watched The Stand In, and Tobie and I don't understand why Netflix categorized it as a comedy.
• We watched TENET and LOVED IT. We expect to re-watch the earlier scenes a few more times to fully enjoy Nolan's attention to detail. Kind of wish that we all get a chance to see it in full IMAX one day. 
• We also watched Bwakaw, and I don't understand why so many people love it. So many reviews describe it as being a poignant movie, but I really couldn't get behind the protagonist. 
• We're currently watching WW84, and it's kinda classic-style DC fun. If it doesn't steer it from its path, it should be a lot of fun, even if just for geeks like us.
