0290B: Running Out of November

Roast Chicken Lunch

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 255

We're down to the final week of November, and things remain largely the same. Lately, Tobie and I have been trying to figure out possible Christmas gifts via online retailers, and the experience remains quite challenging. We haven't even begun to consider how to ship gifts to everyone we want to give presents to - finding the gifts, to begin with without relying on the mall and other physical locations is our initial challenge.

Are we truly prepared for a fully remote Christmas? At least I'll be able to update my address book properly. Whoever asks for snail mail addresses anymore, right? I imagine there's going to be a lot of Grab/Lalamove deliveries in the coming weeks. Better beat the rush or something.

It's so weird to think of what the holidays are going to be like under these conditions. We assume that social distancing will continue and we won't see most of our loved ones in person for a better part of this year. But that doesn't mean we still can't find ways to celebrate together - even if just virtually with gifts sent via courier.

Aside, I purchased a ticket for Dua Lipa's Studio 2054 event. This will be our second online concert-style event we've invested money in, and it's mainly because Kylie Minogue has confirmed to be a special guest more than an interest in Dua Lipa herself haha. We appreciate her music, but not to the degree that we love Kylie's.

Yet another digital alternative to what would normally be an in-person experience.
