Tonight's Baduy Pride episode was even more fun than anticipated and I don't think either of us were prepared to talk about books we'd recommend to others for like 90 minutes. But I guess that's the risk of things like books - it's easy to keep thinking of new titles to suggest and other stories to get excited about all over again. Reading is amazing, really. 

Highs and lows for today's workout. I re-arranged my schedule to deal with a duplicate entry and replaced it with the Boxer Burner, which is one of my favorites. It sort of reminds me of my karate-do days, but in a good way. And I note that the routine isn't as difficult as it used to be, so that's progress. But then when I did my daily weigh-in, it turned out I was heavier today than yesterday. And that's always a bit of a bummer.

I've been cycling between two different workout plans in the Nike Training Club app throughout this year. The Lean Fit plan runs for 6 weeks while the Bodyweight Only plan runs for 4 weeks. Anecdotally, I think it's fair to conclude that I do seem to lose more weight with the way the Lean Fit plan arranges workouts while the Bodyweight Only isn't as aggressive there, so hopefully, it's more about building muscle. The two plans share a lot of workouts, especially since we don't have the typical gym equipment at home, but I guess the way they string them together matters.

So yeah, good days and bad days. Weight isn't the final measure of whether or not my fitness journey is going well. But man, seeing the weight go down would really make me feel a heck of a lot better though! 

At least the selfies are sort of motivating.
