Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 237
Super looking forward to Baduy Pride tonight. The Friday night episodes, which now run longer and include a fair amount of alcohol, have kind of become something akin to going out to O Bar after a long work week. Sure, for the most part, it's just me and Tobie talking at a camera and hoping to get a response from the comments section of our live videos. But to be fair, Baduy Pride has a fairly regular group of viewers (mostly friends - thank you!) who tolerate enjoy our content or at least are looking for company even if just virtually.
It's not much, but it's better than nothing. And it means that we (1) get to have fun with friends online while (2) creating original video content and (3) maybe being able to monetize said content on an ongoing basis. Sure, it's often silly content, but still being able to earn even minimal income from these things. Don't worry, we're not exactly quitting our day jobs anytime soon.
And given how busy this first week of November has been, we totally need some downtime to relax. Plus it feels like a weird sign of doing better under quarantine that I find it comfortable enough to drink again. That's more because we don't exactly drink to forget problems or as a form of escapism of some sort. Instead, drinking has always been a social activity for us and for the most part I don't feel the need to drink without friends present. And I guess Friday night Baduy Pride episodes now totally count as online socializing with friends.
That and we'll have another Friday night call with Nico after the episode.
