Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 125

So no matter how you look at things, we've been in quarantine for at least four months now. And we're still going to be in quarantine at least until the end of the month and our best-case scenario is that we remain at the current level, but that's going to go on for a while. In all likelihood, it's going to remain prudent to stay home for a few months and possibly until the end of the year.

And so now I'm trying to get into the right headspace to consider that my birthday will be in quarantine and Halloween will be in quarantine and Christmas and New Year will most likely involve us remaining in lockdown. It's a lot of things that make me sad to consider but that's the reality we're facing now so better to prepare ourselves for it than be somehow blindsided.

I could hope for the best, but I don't want to be unrealistically optimistic either. I've always been one to keep my feet firmly on the ground and the realities may not be the happiest things to consider but we just have to hang in there, for now, stay smart and keep fighting.

It can get overwhelming to consider all at once. I totally recognize that. And our brains are quick to want to jump ahead into overthinking territory as we consider the rather grim possibilities of the future. But down that road lay madness, and we just have to take things one day at a time.
