The challenge with large data sets is that they don't readily give up their secrets. There are so many different ways to interpret data to reach different conclusions or deductions but finding the right one is the real challenge. And I feel like we've been puzzling over a problem of this sort for a better part of the week and have yet to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
And the irony is not lost on me that I'm still preparing a training module about data presentation methods while facing a highly related problem. We have a general idea of what we want to say but are still in the process of figuring out the right details and data points to share in order to prove our point without a shadow of a doubt. It's an excellent mental exercise that is still quite tiring but I know we'll come out feeling highly fulfilled at the end of this creative analytics journey.
You'd think that something like the spice Melange or even just the juice of Sapho would be really handy right now.
