0251D: Shine a Light

So I finally ordered one of those cheap ring lights on Lazada (not the one in the photo above) to help with our home photography and potential vlogging efforts. I also ordered one of those portable lightboxes for my Transformers photography. Online shopping is terribly convenient for hobbies.

The ring light is mainly for our potential experiments in creating a new recorded-as-live show like Fandom Live before but focused on gaming. We did a test broadcast of sorts last month and it was a lot of fun to do. We haven't made much headway since then and I really want to get that ball rolling and Tobie feels strongly about improving the quality of our lighting setup before moving forward.

I've been listening to a lot of the Shut Up and Sit Down podcast, and it's a decent peg for the sort of free-flowing conversation that we might want to explore as an initial show format. It's not too different from what we used to do on Fandom Live as we just have to map out an outline of what we want to cover but not necessarily script everything. If that becomes a habit then we can figure things out beyond that point. For now I just want to keep things easy and fun just so we can enjoy the experience as we map things out and see what works and what doesn't.
