So today became a board game day since our scheduled RPG session fell through due to other things complicating the player schedule. And while it's a shame whenever this happens, at least we still had fun on our own.
And the big game of focus as of late is Great Western Trail, which combines a lot of different familiar game elements into a unique strategic experience. I don't think we expected to get so into a game about cowboys driving cattle across the countryside for fun and profit to make for a great game experience but here we are. Plus one of the core mechanics is a cow-collecting, deck-building element to things.
We'll be heading out to O Bar for a diversity event and that should make for a colorful end to the evening. Nothing is on the gaming calendar tomorrow so we'll see how we can kill the time - not that this is ever truly a problem.
