It still fascinates me how well my sister her husband and I work together. There'll always be a lot of warnings out there about the risks of working with family and there are a lot of reasons why it can be more complicated than it should be. But for one reason or another we have fallen into a pretty great work rhythm where we're able to come together to leverage our respective skills and areas of expertise in order to resolve work challenges as they come along.
And that's a rather rare gift for anyone's career as it's a lot more common to end up butting heads or stepping on the toes of others in the usual corporate struggle to secure your position defend your territory and move your agenda forward. I'm super thankful how things have worked out and can only wonder what things might have been like had I never left the call center industry.
