As an agnostic, I find myself with a lot more free time during Holy Week. As a geek who loves the comfort of technology perhaps too much, I'm also not the sort of person to want to go to the beach or hiking into the mountains or anywhere else where I can't get a decent broadband connection. And so the long holiday weekend is really just time to spend at home.
It's a good thing that I was already an avid reader and in past years and holidays typically meant more reading time. And now with Tobie in my life, my holiday activities have expanded to include tabletop gaming and RPGs and we have a pretty full gaming weekend ahead of us. The geeky life is a fulfilling one and Metro Manila isn't so bad when most of the people aren't in it.
I hope you all have a restorative weekend, whether that means reconnecting with your spirituality or with just your sense of self. Plus sleep is a GIFT. Take advantage of any opportunity to sleep more!
