So it's the first day after Tobie left for his US trip and I'm feeling super lazy. I'm rushing this blog right before midnight because I kept delaying writing something. I only recently had dinner since I also took a while before I resolved whether to cook something or just order out again. And the time delays weren't because of seriously meaningful stuff. I've just been mucking about the internet while leaving this or that show to stream on the Chromecast.
To be fair, there's also a situation on-going in Marawi in Mindanao involving the Maute Group in a prolonged encounter with the military. Details are limited at this point but the terrorists are trying to claim association with ISIS and the President has just declared Martial Law in all of Mindanao while away in Russia for a state visit. Initially he wasn't going to cut his visit short but more recent news indicates that he may be coming home earlier than scheduled.
I have to shake off this minor funk - it's not at all helpful. At least Tobie and I got to chat a bit earlier after he finally got settled. He arrived in California safely enough but still had to deal with all the rigors of getting through all the airport stuff. I expect we'll get to chat a bit later in the morning when I wake up or we might have a pocket of time before I go to sleep.
In the meantime, I think I want to play my with Transformers.
