The best family trips are the ones that feel like you're just at home and the whole being in another country bit is a minor coincidence. And thus our Sunday morning started like the usual family routine Sunday of lazily getting out of bed and eventually coming together to figure out what to eat. Since we're all pretty much past the full-blown tourist part of being in Singapore, the focus for our day was more about going to places that the family already likes to go to with some compromises here and there.
So today we spent two hours at Books Kinokuniya and it was glorious. I probably spent way too much but then the geekiness of my purchases make them all the more worth it. If anything, it makes one feel a little less bad when the members of your family had their own piles of purchases that really made the most of this weekend's sale rates.
