0216D: Yoshi - Redefining Normal Levels

Yoshi had his monthly battery of tests to check on his progress, and thus far things remain stable. He's not getting any better, but he's not getting any worse either. And that's still good news.

His doctor keeps telling me that Yoshi is a rare case and he's lucky to have owners like us. Beyond all the work that needs to happen, I know she's also referring to the fact that we're both willing and capable to invest so much in support of a dog. But hey he's practically our kid, so the investment wasn't even a question, really.

His doctor has witnessed only one other case of a dog with Yoshi's condition surviving the way he has, so that just shows he's quite the fighter. Things were pretty grim when he was diagnosed back in December, but the fact that he's still here and as chipper as ever is something to be thankful for.

We love this little dog and we're definitely proud of his accomplishments thus far. It's still a lot of hard work, but it's all worth it.
