02146: Office Dinners

I made a pasta thing for dinner and I don't quite know how it will go. It started as a not-so-spicy arrabiatta but then it morphed into something else. But then a lot of my red sauces start this way and get upgraded with meat.

Your basic arrabiatta is pretty much a spicy, garlicky tomato sauce and that's about it. That can get boring since Tobie and I still embrace the wonders of processed meat (take that cancer fears!)

And today I ended up adding some of the chicken balls and squid balls that we still had at the office fridge after an experimental steam boat night for just me and Tobie.

We're camping out here since tomorrow is the last day of the week and the first day for people to start leaving the city for undas, the regular pilgrimage to family cemeteries in the provinces in order to pay their respects to the dead. You really get to appreciate how much of Metro Manila's working population involves folks from outside the city proper when you have all of them cramming themselves onto every possible long haul bus or whatever out of here and back to their home provinces.

Meanwhile Tobie and I just stay in the city and continue being all geeky and such.

Its a good life.
