0212C: More Gaming

I just finished working on a report for work that's due on Monday. As much as I really don't think it's a good idea to bring work home, this needed to get done and I just wasn't in a state to figure out what I wanted to say last Friday. A good presentation deck is more than just slapping in screenshots of reports and spreadsheets. It's supposed to be a story you're trying to tell your client audience and the language you can use to communicate your ideas can feel somewhat limited at times. But I think I've worked on such things long enough to have a good idea of how to manipulate data to get my point across. I'm feeling good about things.

Last night we had a fun game night with some friends that we hadn't seen in a while. I wish I had taken the time to snap photos of the games, but I guess we were having too much fun. Plus we worked our way through like 4 bottles of wine and that certainly helped push the fun along.

Game nights are generally fun on a more or less consistent level regardless of group or game distribution. But of course there are just some groups that really work well together, and I see this a lot with some of our sassier queer gaming groups that have some great table banter. It's more than just trying to trash talk or something like that. It's a lot wittier than that and ultimately a lot of fun.

And now we need to get ready for yet another board game night, but this time at a friend's place. Fun times.
