02089: Report From The Labs

My photo, but not my food
So it amuses me that some of the folks at the office have taken to cooking meals at work instead of buying food outside. An arrangement had been reached to prepare meals here to save money - but quite frankly it also becomes a nice little bonding activity as well. It's one of the quirks of the office that we have a space that can allow for this since it's really more of a service apartment. And I'm more than happy to see everyone interact and find new ways to relate to one another.

Yoshi looks almost feline here.
Yoshi is still a little down, but that's to be expected after any vaccination. He still interacts with everyone in the morning, but by late afternoon he retires to one corner of the office or another in order to get some rest. I made it a point to step out for supplies today in order to get him a dog bed for the office so he doesn't have to content himself with sleeping on the colder tile floor or on the fluffy bathroom mat. It took him a while to warm up to the bed, but once he was tired enough it seemed only natural to use it. I also got him a ball, but of course his interest in such dalliances has always been rather limited. But it's something.

And work itself remains busy but fulfilling. I think we're all settling into our semi-permanent routines for now and we all have a better understanding of how to work together. There will always be things to tweak and things to improve and we'll get to all that fun stuff soon enough. But for now, there's a lot of work to be done and we're doing the best that we can as we continue to run apace.
