01915: We Live, We Learn

Change is constant in this life. If anything, I think a lot of the supposed "human experience" is mostly about how we adapt to these changes. Not all changes are going to be our liking - after all, no one likes disruption in our routines or a loss of the familiar. But then we don't always get what we want, and so all we can do is make the most of what we have today.

Things will change - in turn we adapt. Sometimes the changes require more physical changes in our lives ranging from our homes, our jobs or maybe just our general way of living. Other changes require internal fortitude, strength of will and the ability to keep an open  mind. There will always be changes that we cannot prevent, and more often than not we'll need to change our perspective and how we view things and perhaps even how we understand them. That's really what defines maturity more than anything else - our ability to take changes in stride, or even make use of them in order to move forward.

But damn, it never gets any easy, no matter how old you get or how much you've experienced in life (which oddly enough aren't necessarily the same thing). But humanity is known for its stubbornness. And I don't see any reason to stop trying any time soon.
