01743: Post-Shift Productivity

Work has been a little frustrating because my technical issues aren't over yet. You know it's a bad thing when you're forced to rely on the external webmail access even though you're working from within the office. Seriously, this is not how things are supposed to be.

At least I was a heck of a lot more productive on the home front. I finally got home early enough to get Yoshi groomed for the first time in 2014. We've been pretty busy and the added window period from his vaccination boosters also complicated things. So Yoshi has been carrying around a lot of holiday hair, in a manner of speaking. But now his fur is back to a much more manageable level, and should also be less prone to getting dirty. Well, at least that will be the case for the next few weeks.

While waiting for Yoshi, I finally got to explore the new Ali Mall Government Center, since it's that time of the year when all these different government requirements become important all of a sudden. So for those who are curious, the government center so far consists of counters for the post office, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-Ibig, DTI (business name registration) and the local Baranggay. Thankfully, this counts as our actual Baranggay, so getting the local clearance here is also feasible. Today I only got my cedula (community tax certificate), which leaves me with the need to get either police clearance or NBI clearance.

In the news it as been announced that you can now apply for NBI clearance online given the system is now being managed by the Department of Justice apparently. This actually sounds rather promising and I may consider trying this method out just to get that requirement out of the way. I'm just not sure which satellite office I should opt to go to for processing. Or I could skip the whole thing entirely and just try for police clearance instead. And when I say "try" it's not because I don't think I'm going to get cleared - I just know it's going to be a heck of a hassle to get it done.

But hey, it has still bee a productive day. Plus Yoshi is extra adorable again.
